The Douglas Center Community Food Drive

Fill The Cupboard. Feed the Heart. ❤️

The Douglas Center is proud to announce our Community Food Drive benefiting The Cupboard at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital. From October 1 through November 30, we invite our neighbors, businesses, and community organizations to come together to help address food insecurity and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.

About The Cupboard: A no-questions-asked food pantry helping address food insecurity among patients, staff and members of our community. The need is significant. The Community Cupboard alone requires approximately 50–100 pounds of non-perishable food daily to help meet the needs of those it serves.

What to Donate: We welcome donations of non-perishable food items, including:

Canned vegetables (except beans) · Canned tuna, salmon, and chicken ·  Peanut butter and jelly · Pasta and rice · Ramen · Oats/Cereal ·  Canned fruit ·  Beans   Dried milk

Donation Guidelines: All items must be non-perishable, sealed, and labeled. Items within their expiration date are preferred; items up to six months past the written date can also be accepted.

Where to Donate: Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at: The Douglas Center, 3445 Howard Street, Skokie, Illinois. Additional community collection locations include:
