College Partnerships
We have had the opportunity to partner and collaborate with several colleges, universities, and community organizations.
College Partnerships and Field Visits
Students at varying education levels – undergrad, masters, even Ph.D. candidates come by for a site visit, knowledge gathering in field exploration. Whether visiting, volunteering, field study, or internship, we are happy to show the next generation of change-makers and possible champions of individuals with disabilities the capabilities of our agency.

Interested in an Internship?
An internship at The Douglas Center gives the student an opportunity to work with adults with developmental disabilities and experience how these populations struggle with mental health. The internship is designed to give a greater understanding of a diverse group of individuals and offers a unique experience. Some internships available are case management, 1:1 counseling, fundraising, programming, marketing, and virtual groups. A supervisor takes a mentorship approach. We welcome ambitious, creative, collaborative candidates.
